My application is the best!!
The Basics

Name: Amy

Age range (13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25+): 16-19

Favorite character: Sirius Black. I really like his sense of adventure, he is always urging Harry to be rebellious, like he was, and I love him for it. Sirius, even while at Hogwarts, was always looking for a good time, or always looking for a good adventure and I can relate to that fully. I am a lot like Sirius Black because I also like adventure and a good time- and rebelling is one of my best attributes in my opinion. I always enjoyed reading Sirius, I was laughing while he was enjoying himself and I was crying hysterically when he died. I think that those reasons are enough to call him my favorite character.

Least favorite character: My least favorite character is Dolores Umbridge! Not only did I grimace every moment that I read her in the books, I was extremely disgusted with her beliefs. I am not tolerant to loyalty in a corrupt government, and it makes me really upset when people do not realize the corruption. Also, I didn't like that she showed such disrespect towards other people, and I figured the reason that she did this was because she was just a "fake" person and showing disrespect was her way of showing her faults. Professor Umbridge was extremely loyal to a very corrupt ministry of magic, and that honestly is the reason why I don’t like her.

Favorite Non-Harry Potter related fandom: Hmm, I really don't know if I have any other fandom.. Gilmore Girls maybe? Supernatural.

What is your pet peeve?: My pet peeve is loud chewing. I cannot stand it when people chew with their mouths wide open... like honestly people I do not want to see your food. Loud chewing also has snapping gum mixed into it, I don't mind if you chew on gum but again mouths closed.. please (*laughs*)

The Deeper Stuff

Five years from now you are diagnosed with a terminal illness. It can be cured by a single pill that costs $5,000 dollars and is not covered by insurance. How would you go about getting the medication? I would probably hold a lot of events to raise the money. I would organize some kind of concert that people can donate money at and they could listen to really good music and enjoy themselves and at the same time donate to a good cause. Although, I could make a good adventure out of it... to raise money I could always walk around the globe (boat over oceans) with a bucket and tell people what is going on and hope they donate money.

Your house is burning down - all people and pets are out safely. You are able to save one item. What is it and why? I would save my bassoon, I play bassoon and I absolutely adore it. Playing my bassoon helps me relieve stress and enjoy myself, and without it I don't think I would be able to function. I am able to translate all of my emotions into music and if I was without my bassoon I would be on an overload of stress and emotion. Just to make myself a more decent person, and get over the fact that my house just burned down, I would take my bassoon.

You find a wallet in a parking lot. It has $1,000 dollars cash in it and a driver's license. You look at the license and realize it belongs to a co-worker you speak to on a daily basis. What do you do? I'm not selfish, and I would probably feel bad for the rest of my life.. so I would return it. Who knows maybe they would reward me, or just thank me. You never know what that money was going towards, it may have been really important. I may borrow a dollar to get a candy bar though :-D.

You've been given $100,000 dollars. If you can use it all within one hour you will be given one million dollars. What do you do? I would by a ticket to Africa, a backpack, a sleeping bag, hiking boots, and some food. Then with my one million that I get after buying all that, I would go to Africa and backpack across the whole continent, and where ever I stop I would give some money away.

You see a famous person in the lobby of a busy movie theater and no one else has noticed him/her. What do you do? Depends on who it is really, if it was Tom Hanks, immediately I would go up to him, shake his hand, tell him how much I love him and his acting, and praise the floor he walks on. If it was just like Joe Shmo, that was in that movie that I can't think of the name to, I would probably wave, and just walk away and go outside and tell everyone that I saw them... and watch them run inside to look.

You come upon a wishing well and toss a coin in to make a wish. Your wish is granted. What did you wish for? This requires me to tell a little about myself. I found out a year ago that I was infertile, this was extremely heart breaking to me because ever since I was very young I would talk about having children. So I would wish for the ability to have children.

You're 70 years old and writing your autobiography. What is the title and why would people read it? The title would be Accidental Optimism. People would read it because, it would show my life events and how I would get through them by optimism, and my view of fate. I feel like everything happens for a reason and I would show through my autobiography how everything in my life did connect and happen for a reason.

You have been gifted with the chance to actually perform a magical spell. In front of you stands your greatest love, your worst enemy, and a pile of inanimate objects ready to be used in your spell. Which spell do you allow yourself to use and why have you chosen that spell? Well, I don't think I would need any of those things, I would cast a Patronus charm. The reason for that is because "a patronus never lies," I think casting a patronus would tell me a lot about myself- which would be really fascinating. I would be curious to see what form it would take, and how it symbolically represents my life.

You find a magic lamp, rub it, and out pops a Genie. You are given the chance to relive and change one experience in your past. What do you change (if any) and why? Back to fate, I would not change anything in my past, or relive anything. The reason for this is because I feel like that while living something one time, you are giving it the importance that makes it special, if you do it again its not as significant. I would not change anything because everything happens for a reason, the things that happened in the past directly reflects who I am today and the things that I live for and I would not change that.

You are simply too nice to be in Gryffindor, hence why I'm sorting you into Hufflepuff. :)

You're obviously a Gryffinpuff. Personally I see more Hufflepuff but I think you could fit in with the Gryffindors as well.

BTW, reading your comment about applying to H_E made me go back and look over your application there. I have to say, even if this one is a lot shorter (for H_E you'd obviously be required to elaborate much more), you presented yourself so much better in this one. On H_E I honestly couldn't get a feel for you at all. With this application, it is quite plain where you belong (well, maybe not THAT plain because I wavered a bit between the two houses, but still). Welcome! Shame you deleted your journal, but I like this nick better anyway ;)

Hufflepuff because you are a decent combination of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, and I got a puff feel.
